Paper Picture Productions in partnership with King Street Productions is thrilled to bring you the premier of the Snappy Acts festival—focused, fierce, and filled with unforgettable talent. Taking place over three days, Snappy Acts features a singular, standout one-act play and an exciting open monologue competition that invites performers of all levels to step into the spotlight.

At the heart of the festival is Dharma Dude, a bold new one-act in workshop written by April Pierrot and starring the brilliant Corgand Svendsen and Arya Landers. Dharma Dude explores the tension between purpose and chaos in this comedy skit about a woman discovering a squatter living in her sugar shack cabin. With a runtime of just 20 minutes, this intimate theatrical experience promises to leave a lasting impact.

Complementing our feature presentation is the Snappy Acts Monologue Competition, running across all three festival days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Open to everyone—whether you're an amateur, professional, or somewhere in between—this is your chance to perform any monologue you love. Participants can choose from contemporary, classical, or original pieces, as long as the monologue is no longer than seven minutes.

All contestants must pay a $5 honorarium ensuring participation commitment, and after performing, contestants are warmly invited to stay and watch the rest of the day’s competition at no additional cost.

Think you’ve got the chops to deliver a monologue that moves the room? Whether you’re a seasoned actor or a passionate newcomer, Snappy Acts invites you to step into the spotlight and compete in our Monologue Competition, running all three days of the festival.

• Open to everyone – amateurs and professionals alike

• Perform any monologue – contemporary, classical, or original

• Maximum length: 7 minutes

• Compete on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday – you choose!

💰 Prizes:

• 1st Place – $350

• 2nd Place – $225

• 3rd Place – $100

🎟️ Contestants Pay Just $5 (honorarium) to ensure participation commitment
All contestants are invited to stay and watch the other performances for free after they compete.
